All students should have assignment 2.2 passed in. 2.1 sheet was returned and corrected in class (9F). Students at this point should be able to:
- compare and order rational numbers
-find a rational number between two given rational numbers
- perform operations on rational numbers in decimal form (order of operations, signs)
- solve problems with decimals
- understand purpose of estimation and be able to estimate
- work some problems paper and pencil method ( add/subtract/multiply)
-students have been given a "key words" sheet for story problems. They may find it useful to refer to it when solving story problems.
- students are encouraged to use a number line or draw a diagram as tools to help solve problems
